Since then, we’ve featured a couple dozen live performers, including Professa Gabel, Brycon, Mae Powell, Richard Haig, James Wavey, ASTU, Flung, Baghead, MC Pauze, Kathryn Mohr, ONIKHO, Lonald J. Bandz, Lalin St. Juste, Asha Wells, Al Harper, Tia Nomore, RAVEN, Louie El Ser, Esoterica Tropical, Affectionately, and Noelle and the Deserters.
You can always visit the archive to hear recordings of these previous performances and interviews. Today, to commemorate LGR’s epic 10-year anniversary, find links below to a few of the most popular shows we’ve hosted over the years.
BRIANA MARELA
Briana Marela, a Peruvian-American mixed race sound artist based in Oakland, crafts a kaleidoscopic world through synthesizer, contact mic interaction, movement, and voice. To hear her sing and to see her perform is a tender, heart-expanding experience.
BLUES LAWYER
Rob and Ellen of Blues Lawyer performed a six-song stripped down set of songs from their new (at the time) album All in Good Time via Dark Entries Records. Lovely, catchy melodies, twee pop strumming, and kaleidoscopic electric guitar. It’s a joy.
DANI OFFLINE
Dani Offline, a jazz-inflected R&B singer, songwriter, and producer does it all and makes it look effortless. She recently played a Noise Pop show at SFJAZZ, and she remains an inspiring part of our community.
B. HAMILTON
Anything can be a prompt, and Ryan Christopher Parks proves it. From Elon Musk to John Wayne, the bandleader for B. Hamilton can take inspiration from anyone and anywhere to write and record some of the best rock and roll beating out of the Bay.
