HEART NOURISHMENT
“I hope y’all are able to get some good nourishment from this piece of heArt work.”
Nourishing for the heart and soul, indeed. It Gets Better is a 20-min EP of buttery smooth midtempo, downtempo, soulful jams by Tessie. Following a string of singles and live clips, the new work comes from the artist’s ongoing collaboration with Good Compenny, the label run by fellow Vallejo artist LaRussell. As the weather cools off and rain (we hope) returns to the Bay, it’s the ideal set of songs to slip into the rotation—put some tea on and curl up by the gently burning embers of Tessie’s voice.
