Music for Tomato Plants (2020)
Constellation Tatsu
Assuming that you—like me—are not a tomato plant, then it’s safe to say that this album is technically for neither of us.
But if, like a tomato plant, you enjoy basking in tons of warm sunshine, appreciate the occasional light breeze, and need space to grow freely, then you may also enjoy this half hour of rich ambient music.
Released by Oakland label Constellation Tatsu, Music for Tomato Plants is a worthy addition to the long line of “Music for” (e.g. Airports, Cats, Robots) albums as well as music for plants specifically (e.g. Mother Earth's Plantasia in 1976, Stevie Wonder's Journey Through "The Secret Life of Plants" in 1979, and Music for Plants in 2005). According to the scant information online, the artist Loris S. Sarid (aka Loris Serracchiani) is based in Glasgow.
